Sarah Elizabeth Gilpin was born on December 20th, 2008 at 10:35 pm. She came into our family after a long week of complications, trips to the Emergency Room, and the final decision that an induction was necessary. Because the gestational age was only 38 weeks the induction took longer than usual, but the Lord was so faithful.
When Sarah Beth was born she had the umbilical cord tightly wrapped around her neck which was preventing her from coming into the world quickly, and the doctor informed us that a C-section might be necessary. I firmly believe that the prayers for us during that long day and night saved our child’s life and allowed us to have a normal and healthy birth experience.
We will write soon more about the birth experience in a foreign land and other wonderful stories about our little addition.
