Are you like me...one who struggles to resist the temptation to rely on self and to surrender to Christ. As I was spending focusing on God this morning, I ran across this verse. It was a reminder that to forgo my desire is to gain. It was a word which spoke to my struggle to stay focused on Christ in every moment of every day. I need to remember that to truly gain I must first lose it all for the sake of Christ.
It is my prayer today that you do not find confidence in your abilities, your job, your marriage/relationship, your children, nor any other worldly thing... only that you find confidence in Jesus Christ!
