We had a little snow here in Louisville the other day.

My kids had all the many luxuries of growning up in the good old US of A. I think that it only made them flabby fat and lazy. I suppose that we should consider it a blessing that they have never really been hungry, nor lacked clean dry clothes and a solid home. But then again, if you never see your need, you may not recognize our Lord's provision.

Anyway, God promised Abraham that he himself would be his reward. Not blessings from his hand, but God himself. And Jesus promised that if we have left mothers and fathers and families and houses and stuff, that we would receive more in this life and the world to come. So, as an old pastor friend of mine used to say; "All this, and Heaven too!!"

So press on with pride, brother. I envy you the adventure!

John Holman
