Revelation 5:13 “Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lam be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”

Philippians 2:10-11 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue confess that Jesus Christi is Lord…”

So often we see greatness in worldly things… whether this be in a famous mega-star or in one who welds political power. We regularly make an effort to be part of the greatness that is around us. So many people strive, time and again, to be seen as great. However, does the world really know what causes a thing or person to be great? It seems to me that which is markedly superior to that around it is viewed to possess greatness. Is this really greatness?

I would have to say no, this is not greatness. I do not believe that most know true greatness. For you see, true greatness can only been seen in the life of our servant king, Jesus Christ. Though, He was the perfect God of Heaven, He lowered Himself, took on human flesh, and lived a sinless life of service. He died the death of a criminal… not for that which He had done, but for the sake of those whom needed His blood as payment for a sin-debt they owed. After all His work was completed, He rose from the grave victorious. This life is an example of true greatness.

It is my prayer and desire to see Christians and Non-Christians alike to look at the victorious Savior-King and see the only true example of greatness. It is clear, whether we recognize it now or not… one day ALL will see and acknowledge the true greatness of Jesus Christ.

Those of you, who profess to have Christ, be emboldened to live a life of greatness. Do not look for greatness in the world, for this will lead to a life of defeat and disappointment. Look to the example of Christ! Live the example of Christ! Do not live a life that is worldly or one of fear. Do not be a Christian who has dug in and to built a defense, from where to battle. Remember that we battle on the side of the Victor… the only true example of greatness the world has ever seen!
